Bufete Frau | Statistics of Property Purchase in Spain. General Notary Board.

The sale of homes in Spain rose 14% in November 2014 according to the statistics of the General Notary Board.

This is interesting information which is added to the increase for the sixth consecutive month of mortgages for the purchase of properties and showsstability in the Real Estate Market.

Here you will find a full report of the notary statistics from which we note down the most significant details for our referrals:

  • -          The sale of single family homes showed a year on year growth of 12,3 %.
  • -          The average price per square meter of the abodes purchased in November 2014 was of € 1.194. In detached homes the average price per square meter increased a 4,1% year on year rate.
  • -          The mortgage loans for the purchase of a property increased in November a 35,1% year on year.

In our Lawyer Firm, experts in the purchase/sale of luxury properties by foreign investors, we have observed an increase in the sale of properties in particular in Mallorca and in Ibiza.

Without doubt the open period of 3 years for the legalization of buildings on rural land in the Balearic Islands by the Land Law (LOUS) has encouraged the Real Estate sector both in Mallorca and in Ibiza, where the Sellers have seen the opportunity to legalize parts of their properties and consequently obtain the best profit from the sale of their house.
